This page explains the features and pricing of the hosting packages and gives details of the costs some of the hosting add-ons as well as the price for domain name registrations and renewals. These are fixed costs that are charged in advance.
There are other fixed costs such as web minding that depend on multiple factors. You would pay a standard rate regardless of activities that occurred during the period and also a separate rate depending on the estimated number of activities during the period. If the actual number of activities far exceeds the estimation that fixed amount may be revised or you may pay for the additional activities.
At the bottom of the page are the details of our design and development pricing, which is based on the number of hours spent on the work.
Domain name costs can be grouped into top level domain (TLD) buckets costing either £15 or £20 a year to register or renew. These prices are only if no-one else owns it and the domain name is at least 3 characters. There were hundreds of new TLDs created in the last few years but these are specialist domains, will cost a lot more (£30-£900 per year) and may have restrictions on who can purchase them.

The cost to transfer a domain name between internet service providers usually involves one year registration and sometimes a small release or administrative fee. We do not charge anything above the one year registration cost to transfer a domain to My Web Minder.
You can also buy a domain name that is owned by someone else. You can attempt to make an offer for it in a private trade. Unless you are prepared to spend a lot of money that is unlikely to be successful. If the owner has decided it they will notify their domain registrar and the price they will accept will be announce. You can usually purchase through a domain registrar if you are willing to meet the price requested. If you own a domain name that is under management by My Web Minder and want to sell it, we can handle that for you.

Website Builder Plus £20 p.a.
The web builder helps you walk through building a website and maintaining it. The cost is per website per year.

Email Virus Scanning £30 p.a.
All mailboxes on a host are covered by this virus scanner before the emails get delivered to your device.

Premium Mail Box £15 p.a.
The Premium Mail Box increases a standard mail box from 1Gb to 10Gb. The cost is per mail box that you want to extend and is paid annually in advance.

Simple Secure Certificate £70 p.a.
The Simple Secure Certificate allows a single domain or sub domain to have encrypted traffic (HTTPS) via SSL. The cost is per year.

Daily Snapshot Backups Varies
All hosting packages allow the user to manually backup and restore. The daily snapshot system will automatically backup all web files and databases overnight.
The backup system retains snapshot backups for 30 days and you can restore the whole site and all databases or any part of your site from any of these snapshots.
The cost varies from £30 p.a. to £300 p.a. depending on the size of the job so larger sites (which take longer and use more space) are more expensive than smaller sites.
Our design and development services are based on an hourly rate of £60 per hour. Time is charged in half-hourly slots rounded up so the minimum charge is half an hour. For larger projects spanning more than 8 hours we work on a daily rate basis of £400 per day. If the project gets costed on this basis, any excess hours get rounded up to the nearest half day.
We do not charge for the time spent putting together an estimate for you. If you accept our estimate then we work out the details. Unless we’ve worked with you before, you will be required to pay half of the estimate upfront.
It is very important in the early stages of a project that we define the scope. That includes what we are expected to do for you and what you will do yourself (if anything). The more you do yourself (such as providing the wording for a website) the cheaper it will be. We may use some visual samples to help you explain what you need the website or application to do.
We normally have a budget to work towards so if the project looks like it will exceed that budget based on our initial requirements gathering then you will be asked to increase the budget or reduce/modify the requirements. The whole process is interactive. You will be asked for your feedback throughout the process.
